Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish,
and features weekly top-ten lists! This week it’s…

I’ve only read 1 book by these authors but I NEED MORE.

This was HARD! Omg. I thought it’d be easy to find 10 great authors for this list, but apparently most of the authors I love, I’ve read more than one of their books! So, some of these authors I’ve chosen only have one book out (as of now), but most of them have more, and most of them have upcoming books to look forward to!

I was incredibly moved by Leila Sales‘s This Song Will Save Your Life, and will absolutely 100% be checking out everything she writes in the future. I know Open Road Summer was Emery Lord‘s debut, but let’s be serious – raise your hand if you’re NOT superlookingforward to The Start of Me and You. …Oh yeah, you in the back? You don’t read contemporaries though, do you? Excuses, excuses.

I was totally blown away by Marie Rutkoski‘s The Winner’s Curse, so OF COURSE I need to check out The Shadow Society, and I’m DYING for The Winner’s Crime. DYING I tell you. As for Erin Morgenstern, I don’t think she’s written anything since The Night Circus, and I have absolutely no idea if she’s writing anything right now, but I certainly hope she plans to, someday, because TNC was just amazing.

I absolutely adored Jandy Nelson‘s I’ll Give You The Sun. It was beautiful and heart-wrenching and the writing was just… wow. I really need to read The Sky is Everywhere. And YES OKAY it’s true I haven’t read anything else by Morgan Matson except for Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour please forgive meeeee. I do own her other books though, and I REALLY want to read them.

The only book of Sarah Beth Durst‘s that I’ve read is her adult title, The Lost, which I loved. I’ve heard REALLY good things about her YA books too, and I know she has a new one coming out in October called Chasing Power which sounds SUPER fun, and I just… yeah. I need to read more from her. As for Paula Stokes, I adoooored The Art of Lainey, and she’s got SO MANY AMAZING BOOKS COMING IN THE NEXT FEW YEARS omg, seriously, just go check out her GR author page and add them all, you’ll thank me later.

Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner are like The Dream Team. I loved These Broken Stars so much, and am obviously excited for This Shattered World; but I also need to check out their individual works, especially Meagan Spooner’s Skylark series, which sounds REALLY good. Elizabeth Fama‘s Plus One was a book I was looking forward to, in no small part because I’d heard great things about her other books, but I haven’t read any of them yet! I especially want to read Monstrous Beauty because, um, mermaids.

What authors are YOU anxious to read more books from? And how flipping awkward is the wording to this week’s TTT, honestly?!! lol ;)

Let me know in the comments! And be sure to leave a link to your Top Ten post. I’d love to stop by!
